(01) PR & Media
PR & Media is the part of BigHeads that deals with the press. We secure top-tier coverage, shape the key narratives around your career and protect your reputation.

We work with exceptional athletes and see the person behind every performance. The story we take to the media is about who you are, not only what you achieve in sport.
What we do in PR & Media
Top-tier coverage
We get your story into the media that matter for your career. Interviews and media appearances are planned around where you are going, not just the next result.
Key narratives
Together we decide what the world should know about you. Your goals, character and direction shape the story, and every interview keeps to it.
Reputation
We protect your reputation. We stay closely involved as your career develops, so each media decision is made with the bigger picture in mind.

Sports public relations for athletes
BigHeads is a sport marketing and management company. Our PR & Media team works as a sports PR agency for elite athletes: we manage your global media presence, secure top-tier coverage, shape the key narratives and protect your reputation.
What does a sports PR agency do?
Sports public relations covers everything between an athlete and the media. A sports PR agency decides which stories to tell, where and when, and handles the interviews and media appearances that follow, so the coverage builds a name instead of only reporting results. At BigHeads the work starts with understanding the individual: their goals, character and direction. That is where a story worth telling comes from, one that inspires through who you are as well as through what you do in sport.
Personal PR for athletes
A lot of sports PR is done for clubs, leagues and sponsors. We work for the athlete. Outside sport this role is called a personal publicist or celebrity PR: one person’s reputation and media relations, looked after for the length of a career. The difference at BigHeads is that PR sits in one team with commercial partnerships, marketing execution, image and style, and content and social, so what you say in an interview fits your brand deals and your own channels.
Sports PR in the UK and Europe
Our team includes executives who have worked behind world-class athletes, brands and major sporting events, as well as specialists in PR, partnerships, content, digital and creative. The team has received Top 30 Under 30 recognition from Sports Illustrated. We work with athletes across the UK and Europe, with deep expertise in boxing, football and international sports markets. Our PR & Media cases include four-time world heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield and Anatoliy Trubin, starting goalkeeper for SL Benfica and Ukraine. PR is one part of our work as a sports marketing agency. If you need a sports PR company that treats your name as a long-term brand, let’s talk.
Sports PR questions
What does a publicist do?
A publicist looks after a person’s relationship with the media: pitching stories, arranging interviews, preparing for media appearances and dealing with coverage that could hurt their reputation. A sports publicist does this job for an athlete.
Is a sports PR agency the same as a sports marketing agency?
Not quite. A sports PR agency works with the media, while a sports marketing agency also covers the commercial side, from sponsorship to content. BigHeads does both: PR & Media is one of our five services.
Do you work with athletes outside the UK?
Yes. We work with athletes across the UK and Europe and have deep expertise in international sports markets, as well as in boxing and football.
